Conscious/Subconscious Mind

As you can see below, the two parts of your mind are quite different. Both are necessary for you to be a peak performer. However, both are specialized in their capabilities as well as the way in which they process life’s experiences. As is apparent from its processing capacity alone, the subconscious mind plays an important part in your life and represents a major opportunity for accessing and changing old habits of thinking and behaving.

Notice the processing capacities of the conscious mind at 2,000 bits of information per second and compare it to the 4 billion bits per second of the subconscious. If the conscious mind desires a goal the subconscious mind disagrees with, guess which mind usually wins the contest!

The two minds even "speak" different languages. The conscious mind thinks abstractly while the subconscious mind thinks literally. In turns out that most personal and corporate goals are abstractions to the subconscious, which accounts for the difficulties most people have in acheiving them. The PER-K training programs teach participants how to translate abstract goals into the literal language of the subconscious, so that success becomes more of a habit than an effort.

Most people are stunned to learn that most of our behavioral and thought patterns are directed by the subconscious mind, not the conscious. In fact, according to Emmanuel Donchin, director of the Laboratory for Cognitive Psychophysiology at the University of Illinois, “As much as 99 percent of cognitive activity may be nonconscious.” The fact is, as adults, we spend most of our time subconsciously responding to life rather than consciously creating it.

PER-K is a user-friendly way to communicate with your subconscious mind in order to rewrite outdated pragrams that no longer serve you, and align them with your current desires and goals
